Linda Kay (Goodson) Washington, Dallas, Texas, age 70 was born on April 30, 1952 and was called home September 18, 2022 surrounded by her love ones.

Linda was born in Marlin, Texas to Shirley and James Washington, Sr. She graduated from Marlin High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from El Centro College. She was married to Morris Goodson, and they had one son, Nicholas before divorcing. Linda was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years before retiring several years ago.

Linda was devoted to her family and was a mentor to her siblings. She enjoyed fellowship with church members and cooking meals for family and friends. She enjoyed time with her family and daily walks with friends of Wellmed. Linda accepted Christ at an early age with St. Paul Baptist Church in Marlin, TX. At the time of her passing, Linda was a faithful member/usher of New Light Church under Pastor Shaun Rabb for over 19 years.

Linda's parents James Sr., and Shirley Washington, grandparents, sister Hazel Washington, 2 nephews Roderick Hodge and Jason Washington preceded her in death.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her son, Nicholas, special god-daughter Sheila Thomas, siblings James, Jr., Ray (Marsha), Rita (David) and Janis (Gerald), 3 uncles, 2 aunts, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, her church family and a host of other relatives and friends.
