Obituary

"A wife of noble character; who can find one? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them and supplies the merchants with sashes. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." – Proverbs 31:10-31

"Well done thy good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of the Lord." – Excerpts from Mathew 25:21

LINDA CAROL CLARK passed away, peacefully, into eternal and perpetual rest on December 24, 2021.

Born to the parentage of Edna May Green-Clark and Audrey Clark, Jr., she was introduced to the world on August 14, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She attended local schools in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. She graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in 1969. She was a gifted singer and was awarded the opportunity to travel to Carnegie Hall in New York, NY to audition to become a professional singer. She chose instead to marry and start a family.

On January 17, 1970, she wed her high school sweetheart, Richard Dwight Toliver. From this union, she gave birth to five beautiful children. Tonya Lanette Toliver, Joseph Michael Toliver (Stephanie), Daniel Matthew Toliver (Cortrinia), Samuel Timothy Toliver (Nikiether), and Adria Denise Toliver.

After professing her faith in God and the belief in the Gospels of Jesus Christ at an early age, she grew into the true knowledge of God in 1971. In 1978 she joined the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church where she was a faithful member. She used her amazing singing voice to uplift those that heard her, served as a minister of the Gospels, served on the usher board, and was a Deaconess. She lived her life completely and fully serving God. She remained faithful until her health prevented her from being present. Even then, she continued in her faith and trusted God until the end. She sang, preached, and prayed with fervor and conviction.

Those that are left to cherish her life and mourn her passing are her children, one brother, Julius Foster, Jr., one grand Aunt, Lois Banks, one grand uncle, Ray Smith, 9 grandchildren, Terrance Wiley, Steven Hogg, Jr., Samuel Toliver, Jr., Jordan Toliver, Jeremy Toliver, Caysen Toliver, It'aly Toliver, Bryce Toliver-McCoo, Blake Toliver-McCoo, 10 great-grandchildren: and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Those close to her that passed before her are her mother, father, one brother, William Clark, and one granddaughter, Trinity Danielle Toliver.
