Obituary

Mrs. Lillie M. Shoemake was born September 28, 1923 to the late parentage of Sampson and Sarah Thomas of Massillon, Ohio. After the loss of both parents she moved to Dallas, Texas with her Aunt and Uncle. Lillie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1942.

Upon moving to Dallas, Lillie accepted Christ at a early age and grew up in Saint Paul United Methodist church under the leadership of Rev. I. B. Loud . As an Adult she united with Warren United Methodist Church under the Leadership of Rev. J. G. Owens where she served on the Usher Board for many years. Later in life she United with Community United Methodist where she served on the Usher Board until her health prohibited.

In 1957 Lillie meet the love of her life, Mr. Clarence B. Shoemake Sr. and together they raised Barbara A., Clarence Jr., and Pearlena M.

Lillie started her career in early childhood education ,where she work for Good Street and Good Haven day care centers for over 20 years. Lillie continued her working career at Baylor Hospital Dallas in the baby well nursery, where she retired after many years of service. She missed working with "those babies ", she went to work at Parkland Memorial Hospital in the special care nursery as a foster grandparent.

She was proceed in death by: Husband, Mr. Clarence B. Shoemake Sr., Parents, Sampson & Sarah Thomas, Brothers, Eddie , Lawrence, Isaac, Uncle & Aunt: George & Kissie Lewis Special Cousin: Lena Cooper.

Those who remain to Cherish her loving memory: Son Mr. Clarence B. Shoemake Jr, Daughters, Mrs. Barbara A. Smith and Pearlena M. Sanders; Seven Grand Children, Glenn (Shelley) Webb, Rodney (Tanisha) Webb, Jacqueline (Khary) Coger, Demetrice Hickmon, Albert Sanders III , William (Aisha) Sanders, Delvin (Natisha) Sanders; Twelve Great Grand Children: Uneshia, Rodreon, Danielle, LaTisha, Rodney II, Charles II, Khriston, Khrystal , Ramiyah , Jordyn ,Chloe and Kyleigh; Nine Great-Great Grand Children, Brennan, Bralian, Charleston ,Amiah , Tateayna, Karyna, Alayah and Charles IV; Special family and friends , The Sexton's and O'Neal's.
