Lillie Dawson was born July 7, 1935 to the parentage of Onita Dupar Anderson and Willie Anderson in Hasville, Louisiana. She attended school in Hasville, Louisiana. She worked at Bishop College as a dorm mother and supervisor. She met and married Herman Quillion Dawson and to this union was born four children: Dian Dawson, Juanita Dawson, Herman Dawson, Jr. and Isreal Dawson.

She moved from Bunkie, Louisiana to Dallas, Texas. While residing in Dallas, she became a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She loved cooking, interior designing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, in the comfort of her daughter, son and grandchildren, she departed this earthly life for her heavenly home.

Waiting to greet her at the heavenly gates are: her parents, three sisters, two brothers and grandson, Arthur Davis, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews and a dear friend.

Left to cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy:brother, Edward Anderson of Bunkie, Louisiana; sisters, Dora Lee of Bunkie, Louisiana and Ellen Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, Dian Dawson Lester and Juanita Dawson of Dallas, Texas; sons, Herman Dawson and Isreal Dawson of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildrenand a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.

The homegoing celebration will commence on Monday, August 6, 2012 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5004 Bonnie View Road, Dallas, Texas 75241
