Lillie Mae Bailey was born August 9, 1918 in Longview, Texas to Linnie Mae Christian and Waison Simon who both proceeded her in death. As a child she received her education at Union Hill public school in Longview, Tx.
She met and married the late Allen Bailey and to this union six children were born. She accepted Christ at Our Chapel Church of Christ in Gilmer, Texas were she worked diligently to be faithful and obedient servant to God. After moving to Gregg County, she transferred her membership to Greggton Church of Christ, now known as Fleming Street Church of Christ . As the years passed, she later became a member of Pine Tree Church of Christ, where the vast ministries allowed her to thrive in her walk with God. This transition also allowed her to extend her Christianity to another level. She remained a faithful member at Pine Tree Church of Christ until her health started deteriorating and she moved to Dallas. She always made it very clear that her heart and membership remained with Pine Tree Church of Christ in Longview, Texas.
