Obituary

Lillian Dell Prentice Starks transitioned to heaven on June 19,2026 at the age of 84. She was born in Shreveport Louisiana to Alfred O’Dell Prentice and Ola Mae Prentice Rogers on April 18, 1942. At the age of 10, Lillian accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Lillian was a lifelong member of Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church. Lillian truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed bowling with her bowling team, ushering at church and loving on the children she served as an elementary cross guard. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family. Although Lillian is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

She is survived by; her children, Cynthia Williams Busch and husband Evan Busch, Leroy Williams Jr. and wife Jerlyn Karime Williams and Faith Baylor; grandchildren, Gabrielle, DeSiree, Prentice Jr., Jaden, Jasmine, Victoria and Joy; great-grandchildren, Prentice III, Saint, Elohim, Kazeem and Alana; sister, Susan; brothers, William and Harold; and a host of nephews and nieces and other extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by son, Prentice Odale; parents, Alfred O’Dell and Ola Mae; sisters, Ann, Mable and Ola Mae.
