Lewis H. Jackson was born on November 10, 1936 in Marshall, Texas to the parentage of Arthur and Henrietta Jackson, who preceded him in death.
He attended the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Lincoln High School. He would later attend the University of North Texas And Prairie View A&M College and further served in the United States Army as a Specialist Third Class and was Honorably discharged.
Lewis worked for many years for GNB until he retired. Lewis was a member of Rose of Sharon Church and he loved to dress, he loved people, he was an avid Washington Redskins fan, he loved to smile and he loved nice cars.
Lewis is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Henrietta Jackson; siblings, Authuree Stoker, Isiah Jackson, Willie Howard Jackson, Beatrice Macon, Lillian Marie Hall, Annie Ruth Jackson-Clark, Alfaretta Sylvia Thomas, George Doris Jackson, Willie Delois Thornton, and a daughter, Delma D. Wilson.
Those who are left to cherish his memories and legacy are two sons, Lewis Henry Johnson (Pamela) and Delvin Williams; two daughters, Hortense A. Jackson and Sharon Jackson; siblings, Annette Frazier of Arlington, TX., and,Alphonso Roy Jackson of Arlington, VA., grandchildren, Markeisha, Jermesha, Dwaylor Thomas (Latrice), Ivy and Berry Joe Shaw, Jr (Sharay); eleven great grandkids and a host of other relatives and friends.
