Leonard Earl
Hollie
September 19, 1955 – July 10, 2024
Life Reflections
Leonard Earl Hollie, one of the most exceptional individuals one could have had the pleasure of
meeting, was born on September 19, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Willie Edward Hollie Sr. and
Larue Catherine Hollie. He was "born again" and baptized at Lanza Chapel Methodist Church in
Mexia, Texas. He faithfully walked with Christ from that point on until his departure on July 10, 2024.
He received his high school diploma from Mexia High School and subsequently attended Mountain
View Community College in Dallas, Texas and North Texas State University in Denton, Texas.
Upon exiting college, he joined the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged.
Until his retirement due to disability from his military service, he was employed at the United Parcel
Service and what was then known as the Bulk Mail Center.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Corey J. Hollie and Tarence Nash; his mother, Larue Catherine
Hollie-Busby; and brother, Rev. Gerald P. Hollie.
He is survived by his wife, Constance Marie Hollie, son Antonio Hollie, and daughter Temika Beasley
Spruiells, along with a total of nine grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind two brothers, Willie
Edward Hollie Jr. and Rev. Donald Hollie, four aunts, one uncle, and a myriad of cousins, other
relatives, and friends.
"He loved me for who I am—the good, the bad, the right, the wrong, and the ugly.
Thank you, Father, for your gift of love. I love you, Leonard."
Mrs. Constance Marie Hollie. 2024
