Leonard Blakely was born on January 8,1934 to Dorris and Maggie Landrum Blakely in Chilton, Tx where he also attended public school. Leonard accepted Christ at an early age and served until relocating to Dallas where he united with Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he became a Deacon in 1968 and he served faithfully at until his death. He loved to travel and spend time with his family.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Dorris and Maggie Landrum Blakely, Siblings Ruthie Mae Blakely Foster, Jessie James, Birdola Blakely Smith, Willie Blakely, Edward Blakely, Johnny Blakely,
