L.C. Evans Jr. was born on January 4, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the oldest child born to Gloria and L.C Evans Sr.  The family moved to Elector, Texas and in 1963 to Dallas Texas when he was 14 years old.

He attended James Madison High School. L.C joined church at an early age and attended faithfully with his family. L.C. loved living life.  He acquired a unique sense of style and class that he later would pass down to his children and grandchildren. 'Sonny' as he was called, was very outgoing and loved playing dominoes, traveling, fishing and football.

He met Brenda Kaye Selman in 1966, and in 1967 the two were united in Holy Matrimony.  To this union two daughters and a son were born. Later he had two more children, a daughter and a son.

He was preceded in death by his father L.C. Evans Sr.; grandmother, Millie Bell Lockhart; brother, Weldon Ray Evans; uncle, Bobby Lockhart; sister-in-law, Ida Fae Tilley.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Gloria Jean Pruitt children: C'mon (Roderick) Evans-McGee, Dr. Camica Evans, Monte Evans, Angela Jackson, Christopher B. Jackson; grandchildren: Deitric McGee, Chasity Evans, Chaqueria Davis, Andrew Davis, Raaquan Davis, Deontay Hampton, great-grandchildren: Roman Calhoun, Kennedi-C'mon Evans; a special daughter, KaTonya Hill, a special sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Harris; sisters: Beverly Evans Hubbard, Regina Rojo, Sherry Evans Lewis, Debbie Evans, Vera Evans Bell; other grandchildren Ahlana (LaLa) Jackson, Eric Jackson, Samondre Jackson, Samontae Jackson, Christopher Jackson Jr., Jordan Jackson, Christina Jackson, Samya Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
