Obituary

LaVontae NeDrakye Aldridge was born in Dallas, Texas on March 8, 1980. He was baptized at an early age at Ladale Baptist Church.
Growing up, LaVontae fell in love with basketball. After starting the sport very young, he continued to play through his high school years. After high school, LaVontae attended Howard Junior College. He was an avid admirer of fast cars which drove his passion of fixing up all kinds of cars. He soon grew to love truck driving and being on the road, which is what he had continued to do for the past 20 years. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Legacy Carriers, LLC.
He reunited with his Heavenly father on October 18, 2022, at the age of 42 years old. LaVontae was a kind-hearted, loving young man. He will always hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew him.
LaVontae joins his grandparents, George Paige, Jr. and Alma Cleo Paige, as well as, his uncle, LaMarcus Tyrone Paige in Heaven.
To cherish his memories on earth, he leaves: parents, Marvin Aldridge and Georgia (husband William) Young, brother, LaMarcus (wife Kia) Aldridge, children, Ariana Aldridge, LaVontae Aldridge Jr., Tristian Aldridge, Trinidy Gaines, and grandmother, Merlene Garrett, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends who love him dearly.
