●     Obituary - Latonya Rashun Givens, age 41, passed away on September 28, 2024, in Dallas, Tx, Born on February 12, 1983. Latonya was a lifelong resident of the area and a cherished member of her community.

Latonya was renowned for her warmth and generosity, often described as the sweetest soul one could ever meet. Her life was a testament to love and dedication, especially evident in her role as a loving mother to her four children and as the founder and CEO of "Just Mom Cleaning Services" a business that reflected her caring nature by helping others in their homes. She was awarded The Texas Senate Certificate of Recognition for "Operation Teddy Bear" (giving teddy bears to handicapped children) with the Golden Heart Foundation.

She attended L.V. Berkner High School before furthering her education at Richland College.   In her youth, she was deeply involved with the First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, where she served in the Youth Choir, Usher Board, Drill Team (with her mother), and Candy Striper. Her life was grounded in family values, a trait she expressed through her hobby, spending quality time with her family. She leaves behind her 4 children, Aijah, Aniah, Amari, and Amaje; her father, Eddie Givens; 4 sisters, Tiffany Givens, Nikeya Waits, Jamie Waits, and Tameika Gaines Brown; Grandmother, Gwendolyn Jones; 2 Aunts, Anthia (Kaye) Jones-Hall (Jason) and Gail Garth (Joe), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Vickie L. Waits; and stepfather James Waits.
