A LIFE OF SERVICE, HONOR,
AND DEDICATION

Larry Wayne Hilliard, Sr. was the second child born to Robert and Ruby Hilliard on September 26, 1952, in Texarkana, Arkansas.

Larry was a proud graduate of South Oak Cliff High School, Class of 1970, and furthered his education at Mountain View College. A man of honor, discipline, and love for his country, Larry faithfully served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975 and was honorably discharged. His military service reflected his courage, commitment, and patriotic spirit.

After serving his nation, Larry continued a life of dedication through his career with the United States Postal Service, where he began working in 1982. Through hard work, consistency, and faithfulness, he retired in 2023 after 40 and a half years of service.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Hilliard, and his brother, Robert Hilliard, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his two sons, Larry Hilliard, Jr. and Robert Hilliard; one daughter, Michelle Hilliard; two sisters, Remelle Sims (Van Jr.) and Karen Waters; along with a host of beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Larry's life was marked by service, strength, loyalty, and love. He served his country with pride, his family with devotion, and his
community with quiet faithfulness. His legacy will forever wave in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
