Kimberly Deshun
Rush
March 15, 1973 – January 12, 2026
Footnotes of a Beautiful Life Lived
Kimberly Rush was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and a fiercely loyal protector of the people she loved. Born on March 15, 1973, Kimberly lived a life rooted in family, love, and unwavering devotion to her son and grandchildren. She was a proud graduate of Skyline High School, Class of 1991, a milestone she carried with pride throughout her life.
She was the proud mother of Markies Conway, who was the light of her life and the center of everything she did. Kimberly's greatest joy was her role as "Glam Ma" to her three beautiful grandchildren: Markies Conway Jr., Dallas Conway, and Kyran Stacker, and her daughter-in-love, D'Andrea Harris. She adored them deeply and poured her love into every moment they shared.
Kimberly was the beloved daughter of John L. Jones and Barbara Jones, and the cherished sister of Tarsha Roberts, Keith Jones (Denise), Laporshia Jones (Calvin), and Stephanie Jones (JD). She was also surrounded by a large and loving family of nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
In addition to her devotion to family, Kimberly spent much of her career serving others as a case worker for MHMR with the State of Texas at Daybreak Inc. Her work reflected her compassionate heart and her deep commitment to helping and protecting those in need.
Anyone who knew Kimberly knew her as a woman who loved hard and protected even harder. She was extremely loyal, fiercely devoted, and always stood ten toes down for the people she loved. Her family was her world.
Kimberly also had a vibrant spirit. She loved to dance, laugh, and bring energy into every room she entered. Her presence was warm, joyful, and unforgettable.
Though she has left this world, Kimberly Rush leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue through her son, her grandchildren, and her entire family. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Rest peacefully, Kimberly. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
"Footprints of Her Love"
When God called you home, we weren't prepared,
because love like yours was always there—
standing ten toes down, guarding the door,
covering your babies, and loving them more.
You danced through rooms with a light so true,
left laughter behind in all you'd do.
A mother's heart, a fighter's soul—
a gentle strength that made us whole.
Now rest, sweet Kim, your work is done.
Sleep in the arms of the Holy One.
And though we cry, we still can see:
your love walks on—through family.
