Kimberly Delores
Brock
March 25, 1960 – July 22, 2022
Kimberly Delores Brock (Corsey) transitioned on Friday, July 22, 2022. She was 62 years old and the oldest of three children born to Robert and Evelyn Corsey in Dallas, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Hopewell Baptist, and Pathway of Life Church.
Kimberly graduated from Skyline High School, the first magnet school in the nation, in 1978. She was a part of history as she attended one of the first integrated high schools in Dallas. After graduating, she attended Mansfield Business College, followed by El Centro College. There she found her passion for serving adolescents and became a certified Detention Officer.
She began her career with the Dallas County Juvenile Department, focusing on positively impacting and supporting the youth. In the latter part of her career, she continued to dedicate her time to serving others. Whether it was working with the homeless at The Bridge or with veteran men at The Salvation Army, her upbeat and witty personality, along with impeccable style, had a lasting effect on those she encountered. This was not simply a paycheck for her but a purpose driven act of service. She created many lifelong friendships and was able to provide opportunities for family members as well as friends through the connections she made.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin "Duke" Corsey. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dan Brock, parents, Robert and Evelyn Corsey; her brother, Robert L. Corsey Jr., her daughters, Brandi Sewell Puga (Martin) and Ashlei Ford, her grandchildren, Nuriyah Hall, Eric Hall II, and Ke'Zarea Taylor, and a host of relatives and friends.
