Kenneth Wayne
West
January 14, 1973 – February 4, 2023
Kenneth Wayne West was born on January 14 th , 1973, to the parents of AD Turner and Eunice West.
Kenneth attended both South Oak Cliff & Roosevelt High Schools as well as Richland College. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and rededicated himself by being baptized at home while on hospice.
He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams being the Boston Celtics and New York Jets. He enjoyed watching sports, bowling, playing golf, grilling, and just simply spending time with his family. He had the most amazing smile and loved being the one to make everybody laugh.
Kenneth departed this life on February 4, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by both parents AD Turner & Eunice Louise West, maternal grandparents Wilmer & Mary Joe West, paternal grandparent Raymond Peppers, uncles Elmo, Archie, Bobby, & Arthur West, his brother Darryl Whitfield, and nephew Jeremy West. He leaves to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy his wife, best friend, and love of his life of 23 years Delisha and their sons, Irvin (GiGi); Nicholas; Kenneth, Jr; and Dylan, daughter "his princess" Ms. Brooklyn, and granddaughter Ms. Nailah. He is also survived by brothers Raymond West (Rubi) of Fort Worth, Albert & Derek Turner, sister Joyce Griffin, and step-mother Emma Turner all of Dallas. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that he loved and leaves behind.
A special acknowledgment to a few people that were there for him during every minute of his cancer journey. I personally want to thank you and for you to know that he appreciated and loved every visit, call, prayer, and/or text. Thank you Lewis Falcone (Genesis), Darryl Royal, and John Ross for being what he needed through all of it. I also want to thank Cornerstone Ontime Concrete Cain Jennings, Mr. David Stocker, and Mr. David Owens for being more than just his employer. He was thankful for all the support that the company gave.
