Kenneth Gregory
Taylor
January 27, 1957 – June 5, 2025
Kenneth Gregory Taylor was born on January 27, 1957, to Mr. Loraine Taylor and Ms. Ella Mitchell in West, Texas. He received his education in the West ISD, where he was a valuable team member of his high school baseball, football, and track teams. After high school, he continued his athletic career at Navarro Junior College for two years, then received a scholarship to Texas A&M University, where he was a standout player on the Aggie Football Team.
He married Charlessa Darlene Johnson on December 12, 1987, and to this union were born two children, Kenneth Gregory II (Bubba) and Korrinn (Kori).
He had a short career at Chase Bank in his earlier years and later began a career in the Dallas Independent School District, where he remained employed until his passing.
Kenneth was known for his humorous nature and for speaking his mind. He brought laughter to everyone he encountered. He was a loyal supporter of his alma mater, Texas A&M, and proudly displayed his Aggie pride by tuning in to the games religiously. His love for the game led him to coach the Bengals little league football team for several years, where his son Kenneth played and participated as well.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Loraine Taylor and Ella Mitchell; his grandmother, Hazel Melvin; and his beautiful wife, Darlene Taylor.
He leaves to cherish his memory his two loving children, Kenneth and Korrinn; beloved granddaughter, Kendalyn Darlene; mother-in-law, Eunice Johnson; sister-in-law, Cathy Williams (Eric); brothers-in-law, Charlie Johnson, Christopher Johnson (Latonya); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
