Kenneth Lambert Parker was born March 14, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. He was the baby boy of three sons to The Late Lorenzo Parker and Dorothy Thompson Parker.

Kenneth began his formal education in The Dallas Independent School District attending Joseph J. Rhoads Elementary, graduating from Dallas Lincoln High School, Class of 1966. He furthered his education at El Centro College graduating with An Associate Degree of Arts and also attended Abilene Christian University receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.

Kenneth began his career in The Dallas Fire Department in 1969 as a Public Relations Specialist, 1970-1971, A Recruiter in 1972, Paramedic from 1972-1982, American Protective Service Official 1982-1984 for the Active First City Wide Smoke Detector Program and A Driver Engineer in 1976, retiring from The Dallas Fire Department in 1997.

Cynthia was Kenneth's backbone as he traveled the rough waters of the Dallas Fire Department being the First African American Firefighter. He was A Warrior, overcoming adversity, breaking the color barrier as a firefighter at Station 44. Kenneth believed in Upward Mobility through Affirmative Action. He was fired due to an unlawful termination and was reinstated with back pay.
