Kenneth Hailey was born July 16, 1947 in Corsicana Texas. He transitioned to eternity on January 31, 2022.
Kenneth professed his faith at an early age, uniting with True Purpose Baptist Church. He and his entire family later became members of First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park, under the leadership of Dr J. L. Foster; where the family resided in the historical neighborhood of Hamilton Park.
Kenneth early education started in Italy, Texas. Afterwards the family moved to Dallas Tx where he attended N.W. Harlee Elementary School. Kenneth received his culinary training from job corp. He worked as chef at the Marriott hotel and also spent years at Neiman Marcus as a chef.
Kenneth married Deborah Hodge, on August 28, 1976, to this union no children were born. God blessed them with children, 3 handsome boys, that have grown into handsome young men. To God be the glory.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Lennis Sr and Ruby Lee Ross Haile; his grandparents, Louis Sr and Susanna Ross; his sisters, Betty Blaylock, Lennis Hailey and Leray Hailey; father and mother in-law, Reverend Robert and Joyce Hodge; sister in-law, Lynn Hodge Bradshaw and brothers in-law, Joe Blaylock and Clarence Blaylock.
Those who remain to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 45 years Deborah Hailey; three children, Octavius Hodge, Dondravian Roberson and Jadarian Hodge; sisters, Ruby Hailey, Mary Hailey (Darrin) and Deborah Hailey; brothers, Charles Hailey and Freddie Hailey; nieces, Wendy Quell (Leonard), Candice, Michella, Leta, Kiersten, Ariana Fallon, Kimberly, Chandra, Ramona, Carmen, Jaila, Jayda and Ashari; nephews, Ben, Steven, Charles Jr, Kendall, Tyler, Chancellor, Mark, Kyle, Antoine, Steven Jr, Steele and Paxton; aunt, Vertie Mae; uncles , James and Larry (Mary); great-great nieces and nephews, Octavian, Detavia, Victory. Those who also remain to cherish his memories are more nephews, Horace Bradshaw V (Tiffany), Robert M.C. Sr., Ledaniel Bradshaw (Whitney), Chad, Kevin, Marquis, Robert M.C. Jr., Ivan, Horace VI, Alexander, Marques Sr. (Hannah) and Marques Jr.; nieces, Roshonda, Sharonda, Shenque, Crystal, Joycelyn, Ta' Aliyah, Kayla, Abigail and Djuana; in-laws, Walter (Phyllis), Gwendolyn, Roberta, Robert Jr (Kathie) and Mac Hodge (Deloris); and a host of cousins and friends.
