Kenneth Lee
Gaines
April 20, 1963 – March 25, 2026
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Lee Gaines was a father, a brother, an uncle, a friend, and one of a kind. Born on April
20, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, he lived 62 years that were marked by joy, deep love, and a spirit
that no one who encountered it could ever forget. He departed this life on March 25, 2026,
leaving behind a legacy as bright and enduring as his unforgettable smile.
A proud graduate of Sunset High School and a student at the University of Southern Colorado,
where he excelled in football and track and field, Kenneth worked in information technology
while always making time for the family business and the people he loved. He was a
passionate cook who could turn any gathering into a feast, and a talented artist whose
creativity found expression on canvas and in song. His voice was something truly beautiful, a
gift that moved everyone fortunate enough to hear it.
Kenneth was a man who made every room feel alive. His personality was larger than life; he
carried laughter with him wherever he went, and his warmth drew people in from the moment
he walked through the door. Those who knew him knew where Kenneth was; joy was never
far behind. He possessed a rare and giving spirit, and his acts of kindness left a mark on
everyone he met. A man of God, his faith was a steady foundation beneath everything he did.
He lived with purpose, loved deeply, and served gladly. He was the kind of man who was
always the life of the party, not because he sought the spotlight, but because his spirit simply
shone that way.
HE IS SURVIVED BY
His daughter, Keni Gaines; and his beloved siblings, Carolyn Gaines
Maloy, Eddie Lawrence Gaines, John D. Gaines, Kathleen Gaines,

siblings, Elaine Gaines and Thomas "Jug Head" Gaines.
