After many years of being ill and going to various phsyicians, on October 13, 2021, JW Jackson was called home by the Master Physician - Jesus Christ, the one who told him "And I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:3). JW is now in a land where there is no more medication, no more medical appointments, no eye appointments, no more dialysis and no more pain.

JW Jackson was the fourth child born of his late parents, Charles Jackson Sr. and Lola M. Wright Jackson. At an early age, JW professed his faith in Jesus Christ at the True VIne Baptist Church under the Pastorage of Rev. S.M. Clyde. He received his education through the Dallas Independent School District graduating in 1967 from F.D. Roosevelt High School. He continued his educational trek through a four year baseball scholarship at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas.

He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Kathryn Barnes Jackson. He embraced her son, Undre' as his own and welcomed him into the Jackson family. Later this marriage was blessed with a second child, a beautiful daughter, Tasheen Monique. They were united for 47 years until God called her home.

Cherishing JW's precious memories are his loving daughter, Tasheen Monique Jackson - Seagoville, Texas. His attentive daughter in law, Rachel Barnes; precious grandchildren: Sierra, Undre and Kierra. Siblings: Bennie L. Jackson - Corsicana, Texas, Jesse L. Jackson, Eugene Jackson - both of Dallas, Texas, Barbara Horace - Midlothian, Texas, Aristene People - Balch Springs, Texas adn Darlene Russell - both from Dallas, Texas. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
