Obituary

Mr. Julious Hatley was born on November 29, 1921 in Leesburg, Texas to Glasco and Clera McMillian. "Jew" was educated in the Leesburg School District. He united with the Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A. Pate where he served as a Deacon

Julious served his country faithfully in the United States Army from October 1942 thru February 1945. He received an Honorable Discharge.

Julious met and married Jimmie Smith and to this union six children were born Julia Matlock Hatley, Joyce Hatley Bowens, Barbara Hatley Dismuke Washington, Jean Hatley Wright (Jerry), Nina M. Hatley and James Hatley Smith

Julious employment consists of : Roofing Rod in West Dallas, self employed Cab Driver, owned and ran cool Spot Cafe with his wife. Later he became a Landscaper until his health began to fail.

Julious hobbies include sitting in the sun on the porch, driving his truck, listening to gospel on the radio, talking and laughing with family and friends.

Julious is preceded in death by his parents: Glasco and Clera McMillian; Brothers and Sisters; Son-In-Law: Eddie Bowens; Daughter-In-Law: Yuelle Smith.

Julious leaves to cherish his memories Children: Julia Matlock Hatley, Joyce Hatley Bowens, Barbara Hatley Dismuke Washington, Jean Hatley Wright, Nina M. Hatley and James Hatley Smith; 15 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
