Julian Sonny Holt was born January 15,1935 in Kilgore, Texas to Harvey Holt and Clara Ann Williams. He is preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Sterling Roy Holt; two sisters, Ruby Frenchel Holt Scott and Easter C. Slaughter.

Sonny grew up in Kilgore, Texas where he attended North Chapel High School and graduated in 1953. Sony was in the Army and received Honorable Discharge Recognition for his service after 4 years.  After serving in the Army, Sony worked for the United States Postal Service (USPS) for several years.

Sonny United in Marriage to Beverly Ann Leonard on March 8,1958 where they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl Karran Ann and three years later a handsome baby boy Kenneth Dwayne.

Sonny decided he wanted to start his own business, Holts Barber Shop on 39th Indiana in Kansas City, MO for over 25 years.  Sonny was well known as being dedicated and a very good skilled Barber. After retiring from Holts Barber Shop, Sonny relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1986 and worked for Republic Trucking Company for several years.

Sonny leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Beverly Ann Holt; his daughter, Karran Ann Holt Atchison; his son, Kenneth Dwayne Holt; his brother, Harvey R. Holt; 2 Grandsons, George Rose III and Jeremiah Hughes (Patricia); 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
