Judy Lewis McDuffie Dean was born on May 31, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, Judy's journey began as a beloved daughter to Loyd and Virgie Lewis. She grew up and received her education in the Dallas Independent School District, setting the foundation for a life filled with love and family. Judy first shared her life with Arthur McDuffie, and they were blessed with a son, Damian Lewis. Her journey of love continued with Robert Dean, as they welcomed another son, Davontae Dean.

Judy's life was touched by the heart-wrenching loss of her parents, who preceded her in death. Yet, she carried on with unyielding strength. On July 7, 2025, Judy heeded a divine calling, hearing the Lord's voice inviting her to find rest and peace.  Judy leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through her sons, Damian and Davontae, her two brothers, three sisters, and a wide circle of nephews, nieces, and friends who will hold her memory dear.
