Joyce Spencer was born August 10, 1946, in Yard, TX (Anderson County) to the parents A.W. Coleman and Waiters Govan Coleman, who preceded her in death.

Joyce united with Friendship B.C. at an early age. Joyce attended Bethel Elementary School and graduated from Green Bay High School in the summer of 1965.

Joyce proudly served in the military. Joyce retired from Dallas Independent School District.

Joyce is survived by her longtime companion Clarence Cook, her children Sekitha Spencer, Kevin Spencer, Eric Spencer, Kelli Spencer, Dale Spencer, and Pre Henderson (Sigmond Henderson). Joyce has 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Her sisters Eunice Rose, Fannie Watson (Lon Gene), Georgia Stanford (Jerry), and her brother Curtis Coleman (Marilyn), along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
