Josephine “Cora” Lewis Jackson-Horton of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born on May 7, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, Cora was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend. She had a generous heart and a special way of making those around her feel loved and cared for. Through her kindness, compassion, and love for family, Cora created lasting memories with all who were blessed to know her.

Cora leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, William Horton; her sister, Joyce Lacy; her nephews, Curtis “CC” Clarkson, Justin Meadows, and Christopher Meadows and his wife, Nikki; her cousins, Patricia Wheeler, Joyce Gurley, Sport Jackson, and Trenton Jackson; her great-nieces, Alaina, Ainslynn, Arianna, and Kinleigh; her great-nephew, Alonzo; her longtime friend, Elizabeth “Liz” Turner; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harry and Gladys Jackson.

Though Cora’s presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a gift to those who knew her, and her memory will continue to be treasured for years to come.
