John Tyler, 68, transitioned peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 10, 2021 in Fort Worth, TX. He succumbed to his battle with prostate cancer. John Willie Tyler, Jr. was born to the union of Willie Mae Batts Tyler and John Willie Tyler, Sr. in Texarkana, AR. He graduated from Arkansas Senior High School Class of 1971.

He enlisted with the United States Air Force, served his time and honorably discharged. He lived in Dallas for several years before settling back in Texarkana.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son Ketrell Ajai Tyler, Sr.; his siblings Robert Tyler of Hayward, CA and Ruby Perry of Oakland, CA; Brother -in- law Charles Jones, Sr. (Ventria,sister deceased) ; Two special nieces Sherian Bradley and Michelle Bailey(Teddrick); Aunts Ruby Tyler and Betty Gadson; Two grandsons Q'tarius and Ketrell Tyler Jr., Special Lifelong Friend, LaTonia Nelson-Tyler of Dallas, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
