Johns Stocks III was born on April 15, 1974, in Oakland, California. He was the second child to John Jr. and Dorothy Stock.

John attended H. Grady Spruce High School in Dallas, Texas.

He accepted Christ into his life and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ as a young man and a faithful member of A' Cappella Alliance Choir. Later, he became a member of Light of World Church of Christ.

John loved hip/hop and gospel songs. He loved to dance, rap, and quote from the Bible. For all those who knew him, loved him.

John leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, John Jr and Dorothy; son, Dejohn; grandson, Rhyius; siblings, Lametrius, Madeline (Gerald), Jacqueline (Raymond) and Erica and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
