Joe Edward Boggess, 79, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Dallas. He was born on August 16, 1946, in Houston, Texas, to the late Bill Boggess and Levoria Loud Boggess.
Joe proudly served his community for 29 years with the Dallas County District Clerk's Office, where his dedication and professionalism earned the respect of his colleagues and peers. After retiring from Dallas County, he continued his work ethic and leadership as a small business owner, operating a process serving company for ten years.
Beyond his career, Joe was active within his community, holding various positions in local and competitive youth soccer leagues. He was a passionate sports enthusiast, with a lifelong love for football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Dallas Mavericks.
Joe will be remembered for his protective spirit, guardian-hearted nature, and deep affection for his family. He cherished time spent with those he loved and carried himself with quiet strength and pride.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carrol Boggess; his children, KeAndre, Jamaar, and Zahrani; and his grandchildren, Amia, Jamyah, Mackenzie, and Kadynn. Joe is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Melody Zanae Boggess; and his siblings, Thurman (Sandra) Boggess, Jacqueline (Jerry) Eddin, Willie Jr. (Uneka) Boggess, Andrea (Michael) Stephens, and Keith Boggess. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Boggess (Step-Mother),Levoria Loud Boggess, and his brother, Dwight Boggess.
His family finds comfort in the countless memories, laughter, and love he shared throughout his life. Joe's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
