Obituary

Jessie "Mae" was born July 13,1936 in Freestone County Texas to the parentage of Lafayette Kirven Sr. and DeRutha Stallworth Kirven. She received her education from the Dallas Independent School District. Afterwards, she began employment with Parkland Hospital, where she provided thirty years of service.

Jessie professed her faith in Christ at Bethel AME Methodist Church at the age of 7. She later became an active member of Greater New Bethel Baptist Church. Happily serving alone side of her two sister as members of the Nurses Guild. She loved her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Carl McMahan and Tony Thompson, brothers Lafayette Kirven Jr. and Howard Kirven and sister, Alverine Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Sharon Thompson Murray, son-in- law, Charles Murray Jr., daughter -in-love, Mary Lee Jenkins. Brother, Joe W. Kirven(Gloria), sister, Helen Waurine Spencer and sister- in -law, Mary Lou Kirven. Two grand daughters, Dawayla Murray Patterson and Shannon Murray Weatherspoon (Chris). Four great-granddaughters, Kennedi, Rhyan, Kamryn and Saige, long time friend, Sollie Randle and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
