Jessie Faye Hooper was born September 1, 1942 to the late Jessie Lee and Elma Zevora Grant in Henderson, Texas. She received her education through the Henderson Public School System.

Jessie Faye accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of the Anadarko Christian Church until she later met and married her Late husband Mr. Franch L. Hooper and relocated to Oakland, California. She continued her Christian walk with the Lord and remained a devoted christian until The Lord called her home.

Jessie Faye was a loving and caring, mother of seven children, an extraordinary grandmother and great grandmother, a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She was an inspiration and a blessing to all that she came in contact with. Her beautiful smile, her loving ways, her kind heart, and her unselfish love will truly be missed.

Jessie Faye was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Franch L. Hooper, two children Franch L. Hooper (Jr.) and Frankie Elvis Hooper, both parents Jesse L. and Elma Z. Grant, one brother CPL., Robert Lee Grant (Vietnam War June 01, 1969) and two sisters Jewelean Charlton (February 09, 2013) and Vera Stein Henry (May 16, 2015).
