Jerry Cornelius Parker, Jr. "Jr. Boy" or "Jerry Jr." was born on October 25, 1950 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the union of Jerry Cornelius Parker, Sr and Avelta Kindell Parker Robinson.  He briefly attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Tuskegee Institute High School in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1968 where he was a linebacker on the football team and voted Mr. Congeniality by his classmates.  Upon moving to Detroit, Jerry Jr. began employment at General Motors in June of 1969, and worked there until he retired after 37 years in July of 2006.  Jerry Jr. received his Associates Degree from Wayne County Community College.  Jerry Jr. was married to the love of his life Brenda K. Parker for 38 years.  To this union, were born his two children, Jerry Cornelius Parker, III and Brandi Patrice Parker.

His interests included dancing, swimming, conversing over music and long road trips to visit family.  Jerry Jr. also loved photography as he was the man behind the camera at many family functions. Always smiling, always charismatic, forever in our hearts.  Jerry Jr. gained his angel wings at the age of 69 on September 1, 2020 at 12:37:59 pm in Dallas, TX.

He is preceded in death by his father Jerry Cornelius Parker, Sr, mother Avelta Kindell Parker Robinson and sister Eloise Jackson.  Jerry Jr is survived by his son, Jerry Cornelius Parker, III (Dominick) and daughter, Brandi Patrice Parker; beloved Aunt Carolyn Ferguson; Sisters Geraldine Kurtz (Claude), Betty Prichard, Alfaretta McGhee (Sandy), and Alfadetta Henderson; Brothers Gerald Parker (Paulette), John Michael Parker (Virginia) and Rupert Robinson, III; 9 Grandchildren, Chelsie Parker (Edward), Kyndra Parker, Jerry C. Parker IV, Lauren Dabney, Blake Dabney, Jaylen Anderson, Jaiden Chapman, Chloe Parker, Kalaya Parker; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Jordin Danzy and Michele Danzy; Cousin Johnny Roy Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial for Jerry C. Parker Jr. will be held on September 25, 2020 at Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan.
