Jerome Anthony
Harrold
April 26, 1952 – January 4, 2021
Jerome Anthony Harrold, 68, left us on January 4th, 2021, with his daughters watching
over him, in Fort Worth Texas.
Jerome was born April 26, 1952, in Detroit Michigan to James and Audrey Harrold. His
Father was a Stevedore on the Mississippi and his Mother a Waitress. We imagine they
met over a steaming cup of coffee she served him and the rest was history. They were
married in Cairo Illinois 1937 and then moved to Evansville Indiana, eventually settling
in Detroit in the mid-1940s.
Jerome was the third of five children to his parents born in 1952, but definitely not the shyest.
He made a name for himself soon in his neighborhood as the boy that was not to be
messed with. His nickname, Beef followed him all the way to adulthood. Jerome never
backed down from a challenge or a bully. He graduated from Central High in Detroit
Michigan, and then went on to the Armed Forces.
Jerome served 7 years in the United States Airforce, he enlisted on March 13, 1972, and
Honorably Discharged January 19, 1980, as part of the Aircrew Life support. He was a
Specialist in his field and a Trainer all while serving in the Vietnam War. While serving
his country he was awarded the Air Force Accommodations Medal on July 18, 1972, the
Air Force Conduct Medal, March 13, 1972, The Air Force Longevity Service Award and
the National Defense Service Medal. He also earned a SAC Life support Trainer
Certification and graduated from the NCO Leadership School. After serving, Jerome
Attended College in Fort Worth Texas and obtained an Associates Degree and a
Certification as a Licensed Insurance Agent. Which leads to a long career of teaching
and serving others.
While Married Jerome was Blessed with two Daughters His Special Gift from God,
Tuere Harrold Armstrong (Adrian) and His God's Joy, Saran Harrold Sanchez (Lupe). Both Daughters
were with him as he passed from this life into the next. He was so loved by his brothers
and sisters, also leaving behind Wanda Black (Fred), Rev. Jeffery Harrold (Monica), and Sandra Boozer(Maceo), and 9 beautiful
grandchildren who adored him; Marlina Sanchez, Destinee C. Armstrong, Jaclyn D. Armstrong, Amauri D. Armstrong, DaVoye M. Jordan-Armstrong, Hallejah R. J. Armstrong, Prince Anthony . Hofisi, Eden H. Hofisi, Loba Y Sanchez, Lupe Sanchez, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
While Jerome will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to
know that he was more than prepared and eager to meet his Lord and Savior. He is
resting in a perfect paradise with his loving Mother, Father, and Oldest brother Dr. James
Harrold, Sr.(Sandra).
He had run his race and was prepared to be offered up, totally submitting to God's plan
for his life. Rest in Peace Jerome Anthony Harrold, You left with a piece of all of us, and will be truly missed by all.
