Obituary

Janice Rene Roberson was born October 20, 1961 to the parentage of Louis and Barbara Bell in Marshall, Texas and passed away on April 3, 2022. Janice accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in 1980. She obtained her Associate's Degree in Business at El Centro College and her Bachelors of Arts in Business at University of Texas at Dallas.

Janice worked for Bank of America for over 40 years, starting in May 1981 as a teller within the Consumer Bank. After a brief time in foreign exchange reporting, she joined the Global Corporate Investment Bank, tasked with ensuring accurate reporting for five of the largest industry groups. During this time, she also started supporting the workout division, known as the Special Assets Group (SAG), responsible for management of the Bank's criticized portfolios. She would work in this area for more 30 years, most recently as a Vice President of Reporting and Governance Senior Analyst. Her work was integral to the Bank's responsiveness to regulators and examiners. She was a trusted partner to many, known for her kind heart and never-ending willingness to help anyone that needed it. A wealth of knowledge on all things SAG-related; Janice was the person to call when you needed to ensure something was done correctly. She was always ready with a smile to assist in anyway, without seeking praise or recognition.
Janice was a fun-loving sister and a wonderful life partner to Kenneth Roberson. Most of all, she was an awesome mother to Kendra and Jairus. She loved watching movies and shows. On many occasions, we had debates about different shows, such as Game of Thrones and Penny Dreadful. She also had a passion for reading and loved watching basketball.
Janice was preceded in death by her mother and father, Louis and Barbara Bell, and her sister, Pamela Bell, and nephew, Jonathan Fullilove.

She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life; husband, Kenneth, children – Kendra and Jairus; 3 brothers – Fred, Louis, and David, 4 sisters – Michelle, Regina, Barbara, and Lisa; mother-in-law – Dora, sister-in-law – Linda; nieces and nephews – Yulisa, Brandon, Melvin, Shayla, Ashley, Tre, Alyssa, Mahogany; great-nieces and nephews – Jaderique, Roamell, Jahmel, Bryson, Jaivin, Yeurie, Bentley, Brooklyn, Kingston, and Ari Jade; 4 aunts – Johnnie Mae, Nell, Joyce, and JoAnn; and a host of cousins and friends.
