Deacon James Ezekiel  Wallace

The Life, The Man, The Legacy

On May 3, 2021, God released James Ezekiel Wallace f ro m his earthly labors.   J .E. , as he was affectionately called was born in Chandler, Texas. He was the pride of his parents, Lee Edward Wallace , Catherine Frater and beloved grandmother Gertrude Frater(Baby).  He was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on June 18, 1944, under Pastor M.H. Hunter.

James married Hilda Sue Hutchison, and two children were born to this union, Stanley E. Wallace and Sharon Kathryn Wallace.

He was employed by the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School as a Biology Technician, and subsequently transitioned to Parkland Hospital, where managed his own lab.

James united with Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church more than 67 years ago, where he served maintaining the building, worked on the Finance Committee, and was ordained a Deacon by Pastor H.W. Chism.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Aunt Marjorie Frater Wallace, his dear wife Hilda Sue Wallace, daughter Sharon Kathryn Wallace-McGill (Greg) , and descendants of the Wallace Family.

James Wallace is survived by his son, Stanley Wallace; three grandsons, Anthony Wallace(Brenda), Christopher Wallace, Joshua Wallace, sister-in-law Irene Green, and a host of family members and friends.
