James Edward Jordan was born May 31, 1949 in Greenville, Texas to the late parentage of William and Vinnie C. Jordan. He enjoyed playing football as a youth, but oddly enough, he wasn't a big fan as an adult. He was quite food of the old classic western movies. James spent many years perfecting his tennis game and often spent hours on Saturday afternoons on the courts at the Hampton Recreation Center in West Dallas. He was a member of the Third Avenue Baptist Church for 20 years. James rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized on January 19, 2019.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Clark Jordan, his beloved mother,Vinnie C. Jordan, his father, William (Bill) Jordan, his three brothers, Eljean Jordan, Billy Jean Jordan, Billy Ray Jordan and recently his sister, Betty Lois Jordan-Smith.
He was educated in the Dallas Independent School District where he attended L.G. Pinkston High School. He had a charismatic demeanor from an early age and was crowned Homecoming King at Sequoyah High School.
James began his career at Frigiking Manufacturing Company in the early 70's. After several years, he decided to take to the open roads and entered the trucking field until he was no longer able to work. No matter the state, sickness or health, he embodied a hard work ethic.
