Jacqueline Danielle
White
August 9, 1980 – December 20, 2025
Jacqueline Danielle White, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, and passionate advocate for mental health, was born on August 9, 1980. Her parents are DeLois Ann and Alton Thomas. She left this world on December 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, who held her hand as she peacefully transitioned to be with her Savior at 1:44 PM. During her 45 years, Jacqueline exhibited a profound strength and grace that touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
From a young age, Jacqueline was known for her inquisitive nature and exceptional intelligence. As an only child, she formed a unique and cherished bond with her parents, especially her father, Alton, with whom she was a "Dad's Girl." Her bright spirit was evident throughout her childhood and adolescence, where she excelled academically and graduated from Desoto High School with aspirations of becoming a graphic designer. She pursued her dreams with vigor, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Graphic Design from the University of Texas at Arlington, complemented by a minor in Social Work.
However, Jacqueline's path soon shifted towards a calling that was more aligned with her intrinsic nature—caring for others. While battling cancer and being a devoted Mother, she managed to earn an Associate's Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Eastfield College and later obtained a Master's Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Grand Canyon University. In addition, Jacqueline obtained her certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, dedicating her professional life to helping those in need. She was employed by North Texas Behavior Health and the Wellness Connection, and she also proudly owned her own business: Oak
Cliff Community Counseling. At the time of her passing, she was furthering her education, enrolled at Grand Canyon University, where she planned to pursue a second Master's Degree in Business.
Jacqueline was not only a dedicated professional but also a vibrant individual with a love for life. Her interests included golfing, dancing, reading, and collecting dolphins. She approached life with a passionate enthusiasm that was contagious to those around her. Friends and family remember her as caring, compassionate, strong, determined, disciplined, and generous qualities that made her a remarkable presence in their lives.
In a heartbreaking twist, Jacqueline was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 34. Despite this daunting challenge, she fought her illness with incredible tenacity and grace. Most of her friends remained unaware of her battle, as she was determined to face her illness without eliciting pity or altering the way others saw her. Jacqueline's strength was an inspiring testament to her character, and she continued to shine a light on others throughout her struggle.
Jacqueline leaves behind a loving family: her cherished son, Seaman Devin Smith, and daughter-in-law, Airey Smith; her devoted parents, DeLois Ann and Alton Thomas; her beloved grandmothers, Jimmie Lee Daniels and Louise Askew; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
As we say goodbye to our little 5-foot warrior, we remember Jacqueline for her indomitable spirit, her love for family, and her unwavering commitment to helping others. She will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May
she rest in peace, knowing she had a significant impact on this world and the lives she touched.
