“Only one life, it will soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last”

Jacqueline Michelle Bell was born on October 3, 1961, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of the late Reverend Robert Moore Bell, Jr. and Rebecca Jane Daniels Bell. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and her first born son, Malcom Bell-Yeldell.

On August 26,2004 Jacqueline was Blessed with the love of her Life, her pride and Joy her son Robert Mathew Bell III, whom she nurtured with Love, morals, values and instilled in him the Love and faith in father God. She cherished every moment of her life with her son and prepared him for his life’s journey.

Jacqueline accepted Christ at a young age and dedicated her life to serving God. She was a classically trained pianist at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where her father was Pastor, now (Calvary Philadelphia) she served as musician, youth director, women’s ministry director and various other roles. Later in life, Jacqueline continued her service to Christ at Bon Air Missionary Baptist Church. There she sang in the choir, worked as youth director and was ordained as a minister and preached her first sermon

Jacqueline Bell received her education in Dallas Independent School District.. She attended John Neely Bryan, OW Holmes where she was a member of the pep club, honors classes, National. Jr. Honor Society. Jacquie attended Franklin D. Roosevelt High School the “Home of the Mighty Mustangs” where she represented Pride, Respect& Responsibility in everything that she did. Jacqueline was a Proud 1980’s Honor’s graduate, Sr. Class vice president, a member of Charlie’s Angles, a School Ambassador, Speech &drama, Thespian where she participated and won tournaments, district and state recognition in Poetry, Prose, Improvisational speaking, and Debate. Acted in several school plays, UIL one act play, National Honor Society, Football game announcer, Prancer drill team manager, and Miss Roosevelt contestant. Jacqueline continued her journey to higher education and obtained her BFA bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Public Relations, Advertising and Communications from Southern Methodist University in 1985, making her a proud double Mustang. While at SMU from1980-1985 she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she was a dedicated Golden Life Time Member. She also served as president of the Metropolitan Dallas Alumnae Chapter and as advisor to the Nu Lota chapter at SMU, Association of Black students, Program council, and Campus Y. With her zest for knowledge Jacquie studied and obtained her Masters degree in Marketing from Amberton University 1988-1990. Upon her final chapter of education Jacqueline came back and invested her time in both FDR& SMU as a proud active Alumni Mustang for Life. Jacquie was very instrumental in DISD’s 2015 bond for her Alma Mata. She was Vice-President of the VeltNation from ground zero $45Million dollar plant to preparing and implementing the ground breaking ceremony in 2018 to the $65 million dollar new school’s successful opening in 2020. When Jacqueline became employed with DISD she relinquished her seat from VP to Historian and what a Blessing.

Jacqueline had an impressive career and excelled in every role she held. She worked at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL), The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA), raising over a million dollars in exhibit funding, Paul Quinn College as director of Development &Community Relations and also a grant writer.. She was part of the team that opened the Dallas Women’s Museum and worked as Marketing Director & Public Relations. Jacqueline also worked at the National Council of Governments and as Public Information Officer for Dallas County Health and Human Services where she was the media contact and spokesperson. She also served Principal Consultants as Public Relations, events, planning, management & marketing. She served Kipp DFW as Community & Family Engagement Officer and Student Recruiter. Jacqueline finished her life career at Dallas Independent School District from School Choice, Marketing & Communications, Bond Communications Coordinator to present Bond & Marketing Project Manager III, where she remained loyal and dedicated to her job and responsibilities.

Honors and awards; National Public Health Information Coalition Gold & Silver awards, Received National recognition for Real-Time Crises Communication Management Investigation of Poisoned Brownies at Local Schools, Who’s Who in America 2000-20009 & 2015 edition issued by Who’s Who in America. She served 22 years in Public Relations.

Jacqueline and her best friend Gloria started two businesses, Shindigs and Soirees and It Must be Jam! Jacqueline served on the Board of Directors of Ella’s Place Youth and Family Services and the Roosevelt HS Alumni Association 1984. Jacqueline also served on the executive Board of Directors with H.O.P.E, a non profit founded by Toni Johnson. Jacqueline became a member of the Nu Iota Chapter (SMU) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Because Jacqueline never did anything halfway, Jacqueline lived a life devoted to Christ and was intentional in pouring into others especial community.

Jacqueline leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved son, Robert Mathew Bell, III; her biological father, John Edwards (Sharon); her goddaughters, Jaron Fobbs, Jamie Love, Kandi Clifton, and Tameka Clifton; her special cousins, Marcelene Henderson, Annette Harris and Pam Williams; her best friend, Gloria Fobbs; special friends of love, LaJuana Barton,Toni Johnson, Jacy Elston, Lori Todd & Rhonda Connolly; and a host of family and friends.
