Antony attended Sunday School, Baptist Training Union and sang in the choir.  He was very active in the church but also represented his church in the Dallas City Wide Revival—Youth for Christ Choir, and a delegate in the National Baptist Convention Youth Division until he began utilizing his talents as a pianist.

Antony Jackson began his formal education at Saint Anthony Catholic School. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory School for middle school, and in 1978 he completed his high school days under the Dallas Independent School District's Magnet Program under dual enrollment of Skyline High School and Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts. During his senior year of high school, Antony Jackson, was introduced to society through the ?? Jack and Jill Dallas Chapter Beautillion . After completing high school, Antony Jackson, set out to enhance his education by attending the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, where in 1982 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music.

While attending North Texas, Antony Jackson was a part of a co-ed social service organization entitled Wisconsin Sleepers. During this affiliation he received the befitting name of "Big Brother Maestro".  This name remained true to his calling for the remainder of his days.

In 1983, Antony Jackson became a certified pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade music teacher in the State of Texas. Thus, the Principal of the Great James Madison High School, Mr. Alfred Jones, gave Mr. Jackson the opportunity to serve children.  The Maestro, a strong disciplinarian, would skillfully and passionately develop and impact children and musicians alike across the city and states. His teaching abilities allowed his children to compete and place in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions and travel across the states exposing his students to many opportunities. There were numerous awards and accolades, but it did not matter the genre of music, piano lessons, or theater arts, Mr. Jackson worked with the expectation of excellence. Due to his hard work and dedication, Antony Jackson was recognized as the 2002-2003 James Madison High School Teacher of the Year. James Madison High School was a place Mr. Jackson called his home away from home. In May of 2015, after 32 years in the Dallas Independent School District, Mr. Jackson retired and continued to share his expertise at all levels of education and life.

Antony Jackson utilized his gift in many arenas. As one of the best musicians on this side of heaven, in 1978-2018, Mr. Jackson, began using his God given talent as a pianist/director/Minister of Music. His talents were utilized at Mosley Chapel CME Church, Kirkwood CME Church, North Park CME Church, New Hope Baptist Church and Willow Grove Baptist Church.

Antony Jackson was also known for his musical entertainment abilities. He and several musicians served as entertainment for many organizations, weddings and banquets, but those that were dear to his heart was the Cotillion Idlewild Club Benefit Gala, National Association of Black School Educators (Dr. NABSE) Recognition Banquets , Kappa Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Founder's Day, Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and so many more. He played for anyone that would ask.

Because of Antony Jackson's professionalism and care for children, he volunteered at Charles Rice Learning Center to make the children's wish come true—the community asked for a choir, and he joined with the teachers to develop the voices of the children at a pre-kindergarten through fifth grade levels. The choir entered competitions across the United States and exceeded the expectation by winning first place each year.

Antony Jackson named his lifelong sweetheart, Karen Phillips, during their teen years. Antony and Karen grew up living next door to one another in their infant years and literally went to the same baby sitter for many years. Karen's parents relocated, but this did not interrupt their friendship. As time would have it, on June 24, 1984, Antony married the girl next door, Karen Phillips. For 34 years plus, they lived the creed of death do us part. To their union, they had two lovely daughters Katherine and Kayla.

On November 28, 2018, the Lord called Antony Jackson home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Odessa Jackson.
