Obituary

The sun rose on the life of Ivan Claude Green on May 14, 1964. He was born to the parentage of Mr. Curtis Joe Green and Mrs. Jo Emilie Jackson. He was the fourth of seventh children. At an early age, Ivan accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the Forest Lawn Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

Ivan attended David W. Carter High School where he was proud to be a Carter Cowboy. Ivan had a jovial spirit and enjoyed sharing a laugh and spending time with family and friends. He was a highly skilled "handy man" who was always willing to provide services when needed. Even as his health declined, his passion for service would not prevent him from helping others. He lived his life to its fullest. When time permitted, he enjoyed listening to music and playing dominoes.

The sun set on his life Thursday, April 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. Ralph & Rebbie Green, Mrs. Irma Nunn, Mr. James and Roberta Maxie and his brother Roderick Green.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Jo Emilie Jackson, father, Curtis Joe Green (Nell), three brothers; Kellwin Green, Kent Green (Deborah), Albernist Green (Stephany), two sisters: Yolanda Green & Wilma Allen. one uncle: Donald Wilson (Wanda) of Corona, Ca. four nephews: Ahmed, Tarel, Kelby (Veronica) and Micah, five nieces: Shanai (De"Andre), Lauren, Taylor, Morgan and Emilie, cousin: Collette Bennette. A host of great nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Special recognition to the Moran family and the "The Three Amigo's".
