Ira Peacock, II of Dallas, Texas, was born in Jasper, Texas, to the late Ira Peacock I and Flurdie Maddox Peacock. He peacefully entered eternal rest on June 9, 2026.

Ira’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, love, family, and unwavering devotion. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Gearldine Peacock, with whom he shared 60 blessed years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, respect, and commitment. Their enduring union reflected a remarkable partnership and a steadfast bond that served as an inspiration to all who knew them.

Faith was the cornerstone of Ira’s life. He found strength, guidance, and comfort in his relationship with God, and he remained dedicated to his church throughout the years. A gifted musician, Ira joyfully shared his talents by playing the trumpet, using music as an expression of both worship and service.

Ira embraced life with enthusiasm and simple pleasures. He enjoyed working on cars, watching Western movies, spending treasured moments with family, and attending church. His warm spirit, wisdom, and sense of humor created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Gearldine Peacock; his siblings, Martha Williams and Flurdie Handy; his children, Ira Peacock III, Patricia Ann Peacock, Marsha Peacock, and Mark Peacock; his grandchildren, Julie Martin, Michael Martin, and Grayson Peacock; as well as his great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Though he will be deeply missed, Ira’s legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
