Obituary

Horace Anderson was born February 24, 1944 in Johnston South Carolina to the parents of Woodrow Anderson Sr. & Sara Andrews Anderson. He attended WC Edgefield High School and accepted Christ at an early age.

He attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina and then began his teaching career after graduation. Horace served his country in the United States Military from 1968 to 1977. He then served on the staff at Cedar Hill ISD and retired from the Veterans Affairs Administration.

He was a faithful member of the Antioch Fellowship Male Chorus and was ordained as a Deacon at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where he also served as an Armour Bearer.

Horace Anderson loved sports but most of all loved to sing, he was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Left in God's care to cherish his memory Horace is survived by his beloved wife Marie Anderson of 34 years, daughters Joikeshia and Toimetria Anderson of Houston, TX. Brothers William Anderson (Omelia) of Johnston, SC, Nathan Anderson (Louise) of Phoenix AZ, Sisters Gayle Hall of Charlston, SC, Elizabeth Coates of Philadelphia, Pa. and a host of cousins nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Charles Arthur Anderson and Woodrow Anderson, Jr.; sisters, Pearl Jean Emmanuel and Mary Frances.
