Henrietta Jefferson David was born in Calvert, Texas on December 26, 1944 to the parentage of Henry Dews and Katherine Jefferson Young. She received her formal education through Amherst and Los Angeles Public Schools. She attended EI Centro College and Southern Methodist University (SMU).

She accepted Christ at an early age at St. James Baptist Church in Amherst, Texas upon moving to Dallas became a member Arlington Park Baptist Church. She was currently a faithful and active member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served on the Pastor's Aide, Sang in the choir and served as a Deaconess before her health failed.

She worked at East Town Orthopedic Hospital as a Hospital Buyer retiring after 17 years of service. She was a business owner of DHM Variety Boutique, she was also a creative hat designer, she invented her own lotion which was used as a skin moisturizer restorer called Mrs. Henry's, and she was a Certified Notary Public.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry Dews and Katherine Jefferson Young, her daughter Anita Kay David (1986) and brother Amos Jefferson.

On October 11, 1958 she United in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Connell David, to this Union four children were born.

Henrietta was a faithful wife who loved her children, grandchildren and entire family unconditionally.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving husband Connell David, son Tommy David of Austin, Texas, 2 daughters Connie Moore (Tim), Sherrie Williams (Billy), 3 grandchildren, Sheron Williams, Deron Williams, and Davian Moore, 3 sisters Erma Shamlin, Annie Miles of Littlefield, Texas, Joyce Brown (Floyd) of Lubbock, Texas, 2 brothers, Roy Young (Gracie) and Larry Young (SaBrenda), an Aunt Exlee Mosley of Littlefield, Texas, 7 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
