Helen Louise
Hardy
March 20, 1922 – April 5, 2020
Mother Helen Louise Hardy, after 98 years, is now resting in the presence of her Savior.
Mother Hardy was born March 20, 1922 to Jessie Hill and Lonnie White in Paris, Texas. She was the last survivor of the five children.
Mother Hardy was saved in 1946 at Tudor Street Church of God in Christ and during her lifetime, attended regularly and made sure we attended and participated in church activities. She humbly held many positions in the church over the years such as President of the Sewing Circle of the Nurse Unit, Junior Church Mother, Missionary, Sunday School Birthday Department, Women in Red Missionary Department. Until her passing, she was recognized as the "Mother of the Church" at Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Bishop Corby Bush. Mother Hardy was proud of "her church" and was known for providing support and encouragement; especially to the youth and their programs.
We are so blessed that Mom was with us for 84 years as she overcame numerous medical surgeries and procedures. But on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, as Mom was surrounded by her three daughters, son and granddaughter, heaven gained a new angel, as she traveled home to glory to be welcomed in the Father's arms.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Hill and Lonnie White, siblings, Lena Singletary, J.B. White, Frankie Miles and Dorothy Gilstray.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
