Obituary

Hardy Clarence Jones was born on September 25, 1949 in Palestine, Texas to Hardy Jones Jr. and Winnie Lee Dawson Jones. He was the last born of four children.

He accepted Christ at an early age and united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Tennessee Colony, Texas. He attended Green Bay School in Tucker, Texas and graduated from Cayuga High School in Bethel, Texas.While attending Cayuga High School Hardy was known as an outstanding student and basketball player.

On December 1st, 1969 he enlisted in the United States Army as a lineman. While in the army he received the National Defense Service Medal and played on the Army basketball team. He was honorably discharged on June 11, 1971.

He had numerous jobs throughout his lifetime. His final place of employment where he worked 11 years, and the job that was most enjoyed was working in environmental maintenance at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was very well known around the facility.

Hardy answered God's call and earned his wings, Friday, April 17th, 2020. He is preceded in death by: parents; Hardy Jr. and Winnie Lee Jones.

Those left to remember sweet memories are: spouse, Diane Parish, Cedar Hill, Texas; Daughters, Brenda (Elvis) Anderson, Palestine, Tx, Kimberly Hunter, Desoto, Tx, Felecia Parish, Cedar Hill, Texas, Nicole (Decarlos) Stevenson, Cedar Hill, Tx; Siblings, Henry Lee Jones, Houston ,Tx, Marrise (Earldean) Jones Dallas, Tx, Steven Wade (Lois) Jones Grandchildren; Mary, Jordan, Kennedy, Kiera, Jaylon, Rodney. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
