Mrs. Gwendolyn Kates Howard was born on June 27, 2026, and worked for many years at the Fairmont Hotel Dallas until her retirement. Mrs. Howard departed this life on September 10, 2026. She was married to Mr. Leroy Howard. Mrs. Howard had no children, but nephew and nieces (and one Judith Walker who became her trusted power-of-attorney) who loved her dearly. Mrs. Howard enjoyed shopping, dressing with style and class, cooking especially for her family. Mrs. Howard leaves to cherish her memory one nephew, Arnold Kates (Kokomo, IN); three nieces, Judith (d Howard) Walker (Midwest City, OK), Maureen Lindsay (Kokomo, IN), Marva Kates (Dallas, TX), and Roetta Kates (Dallas, TX); a host of other relatives, friends, acquaintances and former co-workers.
