Mr. Gus Shelton Jr. was born to the late Clemmie (Williams) Shelton and Gus Shelton on August 27, 1936 in Karnack, Texas. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Desoto, Texas.

Gus received his secondary education from George Washington Carver High School in Karnack, Texas. After graduation he enlisted into the United States Military- Navy. After serving in the Navy, Gus transferred to the reserve. Gus also worked for the United Stated Postal Service. After retiring from the USPS, he owned and operated Shelton Trucking.

Gus leaves to cherish his memories, son, Jerome Shelton, and two grandchildren, Quilla and Anthony Shelton. Brothers; Raymond Shelton, Freddie Shelton, and Fred Williams. Sisters; Kay Shelton, Glory Shelton, Dorothy Banks, and Gloria Beckam. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and special family, Gregory, Debra, and Sharon.

Mr. Shelton will be laid to rest on Friday, February 5, 2021, 11:00a.m., at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
