Gregory Lee Cooper was born September 4, 1960, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Artis Cooper and Doris Jean Willis Cooper who both preceded him in death.
Gregory was not a religious man, but he was God fearing in the sense that if God didn't bother him, he wasn't going to bother God. Those of us that knew him also knew that God was with him every step of the way and when he lost his legs God was with him every wheel of the way. Greg was able to beat the odds on more than one occasion and he never let his health hinder him from doing anything that he wanted to do. At a time when most people would have given up, he didn't. He pushed through his circumstances and made the best out of any situation. He was not a man that looked for sympathy. He desired respect for his ability to continue and face any adversities head-on while continuing to thrive and live a full life. His love of family and friends was evident in that fact that he took as many opportunities as possible to gather with them and host barbecues for all. You will be missed!
He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons: Gregory L. Palmer; Jamodric C. Cooper (Jessica) and Devin G. Cooper. Three grandchildren, King Lewis, Kylie Crosby and Leiana Cooper. Six siblings John D. Willis (Carolyn), Vickie D Willis, Charles E Cooper (Vinnyetta), Artis L. Cooper (Jackie), Randy Cooper, and Adrienne Gords. One aunt, Ruthie M White. His two furry companions, LaLa and Friendly and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
