Obituary

Gilbert "Doc" Hunt was called home on January 11, 2018. He has been promoted to a place of eternal joy. Gilbert Hunt began this wonderful life under the guidance of his late parents, Luther Cee Hunt and Lillie Mae Henderson Hunt in Alice, TX, Jim Wells County.

He was educated in the Alice, Gonzales, and El Campo Independent School District. He graduated from E. A. Greer of El Campo, TX in 1972. A few years aft¬er graduating from high school and moving to Dallas, he married Marilyn Holloway. To this union, 2 children were born and 1 was given.

Gilbert was employed with several major corporations such as Coca Cola, Mead Products Inc., DiversiFile Everett Office Supplies and Hickory Trail Hospital along with being the co-owner of KG-2Q's Graphic Designs.

He united in holy matrimony with the love of his life Kimberly Williams on September 11, 1996, where they enjoyed 22 glorious years of marriage. To this union, 2 children were given. Gilbert was a man of wisdom, lived well, laughed oft¬en, loved much and gained the respect of his fellow man and the love of his family.

His loving memory will never be forgotten by those who will continue to love & remember his life best. Cherishing his memory his loving wife Kimberly Hunt; three sons Tracy Griffin of El Campo, TX, Quince Hill II of Dallas, TX and Quintus Hill of Beaumont, TX.; Two daughters Nikki G. Watson (Roosevelt) and Harriet Speed (Marcus) both of Dallas, TX; Mother of his daughters, Marilyn Thomas. Two sisters Patsy Stevenson (Bobby) of San Antonio TX, and Gale Hunt Escobar (Anthony) of Marrero, LA; Five brothers Luther Hunt (Deidre) of Hollywood, CA, Melvin Hunt (Lisa), Felton Hunt, Fulton Hunt all of San Antonio, TX and Dwight Hunt of Marrero, LA. Three grandsons Lance Griffin of El Campo, TX, Donyai Smith, Mason Speed both of Dallas, TX; Seven granddaughters Jennifer Ashton of El Campo, TX, D'Arika Green, Danielle Green, Domannikke Green, Domineyah Smith, Morgan Speed and Aaliyah Hill all of Dallas, TX; Two great grandsons Jorrey Ashton Garcia of El Campo, TX and Chayse Smith-Payne of Dallas, TX. A host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and special friends. Angels standing to welcome him home and preceded him in death include his parents Luther Cee & Lillie Mae Hunt and his brothers Donald Hunt and Aubrey Hunt.
