Gerann Stevenson was born December 20, 1960 to the union of Jerry Minter and Exie Pinson in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Gerann married the love of her life, Cedric Charles Stevenson, on August 20th, 1985 and the two settled in Dallas, Texas. This union was blessed by two sons, Cedric Gerard Stevenson and Eric Charles Stevenson. A woman of many talents, Gerann served others in need as a nurse, tried out for the Dallas cowboys cheerleaders, and took the time to teach her children herself. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother.
